
Like many born and bred Hoosiers, I grew up going to the Indiana State Fair. Maybe it’s the nostalgia, but I’m still a sucker for attending every August. Where else can you eat just about anything preceded by “deep-fried” and work it off by cheating death on the Sizzler?
While the kid in me still loves the food, the designer in me loves the typography. From hand-painted signs to blinking block letters, fonts at the State Fair run the gamut. As we enjoy the remaining few days of summer, here’s a look back at photos I took at the fairgrounds:
